If you buy bottled salad dressings from the store, you’re seriously missing out! Not only homemade dressings are super easy to whip, but they also taste so much better! No store-bought dressing can compare to homemade stuff with fresh garlic, freshly squeezed lemon juice, fresh ground pepper. You don’t need any special tools to make this Caesar Dressing. Of course you can throw everything in a blender, or use an immersion blender, but whisking works just fine for me. Just few simple ingredients that most of you probably already have at home, and you’re just seconds away from enjoying a perfect Caesar Salad with homemade dressing. No raw eggs! No anchovies! I guarantee that after making this Caesar Dressing, you’ll think twice before buying it at the store, especially if you pay attention to the ingredients list on those bottles. 😉

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • freshly squeezed juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • salt/pepper

Very slowly pour olive oil in steady stream into mixture while whisking. The longer you whisk, the thicker your dressing will be.

Serve Caesar dressing on tossed romaine lettuce. Top it with fresh grated parmesan cheese. If you’d like, you can also garnish your Caesar Salad with croutons, and/or grilled chicken for a complete meal. If not using your dressing right away, store in tightly covered jar in refrigerator.Caesar Dressing (13 of 17)

Enjoy!

Store-bought dressings have a mile-long lists of ingredients that I can’t even pronounce. Better to stay away from those!;)

You’re very welcome! 🙂 I like adding freshly grated parmesan cheese to my salad, not to the dressing, but it’s up to you. If you’re planning to make a bigger batch of dressing, which stores perfectly in refrigerator for couple of days, I suggest not to add cheese.
