CHOCOLATE-COVERED STRAWBERRIES

By   February 14, 2014

These Chocolate-Covered Strawberries bring back warm memories of summer. The chocolate itself makes this dessert utterly romantic. A perfect delicious and wholesome treat for your loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of strawberries
  • 1 cup truffles
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate for decorating (optional, not pictured)

Heat water in a saucepan. Place bowl over the saucepan (congratulations, you’ve just created a water bath!), place truffles in a bowl.  Truffles will start melting. You can also use dark chocolate and heavy cream to create a chocolate dip. I think truffles do amazing job.

When the chocolate is melted, dip strawberry partially into chocolate, and place on a parchment paper to set.

Now, you can have some fun decorating your strawberries. I decided to melt some white chocolate (using the same method as we used for melting truffles), and hand-drizzled it over chocolate-covered strawberries.

I ended up with some leftover melted white chocolate, so I’ve made some white chocolate cups.

These beauties were gone within 5 minutes. My little people were destroying them too fast. By the time I took a last picture, the rest of chocolate-covered strawberries were already called. No, I didn’t get any this time. Good news, they’re quick and easy to make, and cost a fraction of a price of already made ones from the store!

Happy Valentines Day to all!
