Farmer’s Cheese Patties are also called Syrniki. It is an all-time favorite Slavic breakfast. Syrniki are made out of Farmer’s Cheese. These are very easy to make, and are ready in no-time for the whole family to enjoy.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Farmer’s Cheese
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- butter or oil for cooking
In a large mixing bowl, combine Farmer’s Cheese, egg, sugar, and flour.
Form a cheese mixture into a log about 2 or 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
Cut the “log” into 1/2 inch- thick pieces.
Form into patties.
Preheat a non-stick skillet with butter or oil. Roll each patty in flour, and cook on medium heat until both sides are golden brown.
Serve Farmer’s Cheese Patties (Syrniki) topped with sour cream, yogurt, or your favorite preserves.
Enjoy!
