I’m so excited to share this recipe of real coconut milk with you all. Just letting you know, you do not need to crack a coconut! It is so simple that I’m not sure if its even a recipe, but it is so good that I’m never going back to a store-bought coconut milk. I’m so tired of buying food with whole bunch of preservatives and all sorts of chemicals that don’t do our bodies any good. So whenever possible, I’m trying to avoid additives and get what’s good and healthy.
I have recently started following a blogger that does an amazing job investigating what’s in our food. I had a major eye opener on many flaws of our food industry thanks to her findings. Anyways, this recipe first appeared on Food Babe, I tried it, and it was a love at first sip. This coconut milk is so silky, foamy, and it actually tastes like coconut. I’m sharing it, and hope that this is going to be your favorite as well.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
- 4 cups filtered water
- cheese cloth or fine mesh strainer
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed for 2 minutes.
Strain through the cheese cloth, and there you have it.
Enjoy your Real Coconut Milk as is or use it in your favorite smoothies.

This sounds pretty good. I love coconut’s taste, but not the rough texture of the shredded pieces. This coconut milk recipe solved my issue. 🙂
Oh, good. This recipe is a keeper for sure 😉
