Apple Sauce Recipe (8 of 9)

My children love applesauce. This year we picked enough apples that we could probably fill up our pantry with applesauce for the year. This applesauce recipe is so easy. Apples – is the only ingredient that you’ll need. I don’t preserve applesauce as we like to eat it right away or use it in recipes. See note below on how to preserve it if you wish to do so. I don’t sweeten my applesauce, and I don’t put any spices in it. We like it as it is, because apples are naturally very sweet, but its up to you. So here it is. This recipe makes 2 cups of applesauce.

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-large apples
  • sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
