Holidays could be very stressful, but this holiday season I’m trying to concentrate more on the important things. Usually, the typical Thanksgiving day would be all about getting up early, going to church, having a feast, plus all that comes along with preparing food for the feast. It leaves almost no time to just stop and think what exactly are we celebrating here?
This year I’d like to celebrate my family and friends, the people who are there for me no matter what; the people who are encouraging and loving. This year I really would like to stop for a moment before the feast and all the traditional stuff, and have everyone say out loud what are they thankful for. Following that, turn to a person next to you, and say something good and encouraging to that person. I wish that this heartwarming tradition would be kept for many years to come.
I’m also thankful for food. There are places on earth where people are hungry, while we have more than we need.
For food in a world where many walk in hunger; for faith in a world where many walk in fear; for friends in a world where many walk alone; we give you thanks, o Lord!
We wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving; Lots of warm and joyful moments with family and friends! I’m so thankful to each one of you for reading my posts. What recipes would you like to see in a future? What are you thankful for? I would love to hear from you!
